Ludlow Rotary Cares 2023 is now closed for applications. Thank you to the 29 organisations who applied.
Ludlow Rotary Cares is the name the Rotary Club of Ludlow has given to a community scheme aimed at offering modest grants of up to £500 to charities and other organisations supporting community life in and around Ludlow.
Over the last 8 years the Club has been able to invest over £40,000 in 85 local community projects in this way. Last July the Club ran a damp but successful Ludlow Dog Day and along with the all donations from The Tree of Light 2022 so we are now in a position to invest yet again in our community. Consequently we have inviting local charities and other community organisations to apply for a grant.
The Club’s approach – The Club intends to be very open minded about the types of activities it will support so long as the project or programme responds to a community need in or within 15 miles of Ludlow and meets its criteria on the giving of grants.
What the Club needed to understand is exactly what the money will be used for, who will benefit from it and how much difference a grant of up to £500 will make. All information contained in applications will only be used within Ludlow Rotary Club and will not be shared with third parties without the prior consent of the applicant. Presentation – Those shortlisted will be invited to an evening event at Ashford Carbonell Village Hall, SY8 4BZ on 23rd May 2023 at which they will be asked to explain their project for a few minutes to a small panel. There will also be an opportunity to meet other applicants as well as members of the Rotary Club. The grants will be transferred in to the winning organisations bank accounts very soon afterwards!
Follow Up – A condition of any grant is that within 6 months of being awarded the grant the recipient will provide Ludlow Rotary Club with feedback on how the grant has been spent including, where appropriate photographs. In addition, recipients may be invited to give a short talk about their organisation at one of the Clubs twice monthly meetings.
