Burns Night Update number 2

Members of Ludlow Rotary Club are invited to look out the tartan, polish the dancing pumps and brush up on the Bard for a Burn’s Night at the Feathers Hotel on Friday January 27th.

Entertainment: Music from a fiddler, a toast to the pudding, readings from the works of the Bard and dancing with the assistance of a caller.

Haggis, Neeps and Tatties

Menu: Great chieftain o the puddin’-race accompanied by neep and tatties, followed by a desert of Cranachan.  (translation: Haggis, turnip and potatoes followed by a traditional Scottish desert of raspberries, oatmeal, whisky and double cream. Cranachan literally translates as half churned cream). The vegetarian option is stuffed cabbage leaves with wild rice, spinach, pine nuts, basil & ricotta, red pepper sauce.  Cheese and biscuits are available at an extra cost of £1.50 as an alternative to Cranachan.
